Raiders Pro Bowl roster: Marcel Reece named to second straight Pro Bowl

The word has come down and Raiders fullback, Marcel Reece, has been named to his second straight Pro Bowl. He was in the Pro Bowl last year after taking the place of Vonta Leach whose Ravens team was in the Super Bowl. This year he gets in with the primary squad.

The fifth-year fullback had a down year by his standards. But it's still better than most NFL fullbacks. No other AFC fullback has more rushing yards as he does (218) and no other fullback with at least 30 carries has a better yards per carry average (4.7). His two rushing touchdowns are best in the AFC among fullbacks. He also leads all fullbacks with 31 catches for 320 yards and two touchdowns this season. Reece gets high marks in both pass and run blocking. According to Pro Football Focus, the only fullback who has a better overall grade than Reece is Chiefs fullback, Anthony Sherman. But unlike Sherman, Reece doesn't have a negative grade in any category.

"First off, it's an honor to be recognized amongst the elite players in the NFL," Reece said. "I just want to say thank you to my family and my teammates for allowing me to be myself and play at a high level, and also say thank you, last but not least, to the Raider Nation for showing their continuous support throughout the season and my career."
