With the season entering its final stretch, many injured players will begin to see their seasons come to an end. Once such players is Kaluka Maiava who tweeted today that he has been placed on injured reserve.

Maiava had hinted at this earlier in the week when he tweeted that he had a long rehab coming up. He had injured his ribs and added a calf injury to the list as well.

This is yet another setback this season for the fifth year linebacker whom the Raiders signed as a free agent from the Browns last off-season. He has been slowed by injuries much of the season which have kept him out four of the team's 12 games.

No word yet on who will take his place on the active roster.

The Raiders have several players who are out with injuries so Maiava may not be the only one to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days and weeks.
