Everyone knows Al Davis loves his speed. One position he especially liked his speed was at wide out. Ever since Raider Legend Cliff Branch streaked down the Raiders' sideline to help the Raiders win three Super Bowls, Al Davis has been looking to replace him.
Two of his fastest wide receiver picks are currently on the team - Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jacoby Ford. Both lit up the scouting combine. Heyward-Bey caught the Raiders' attention enough to become the seventh overall pick in 2009 and Jacoby Ford was chosen in round four of the 2010 draft.
Here are those combine receivers who left a vapor trail behind them in this year's combine:
Marquis Goodwin - Best 40-yard dash (4.27), 2nd broad jump (11'0")
Tavon Austin - 2nd in 40-yard dash (4.34), 2nd 20-yard shuttle (4.01)
Ryan Swope - 2nd in 40-yard dash (4.34), 5th in vertical leap (37.0), 3rd in 60-yard shuttle (11.26)
Josh Boyce - 4th in 40-yard dash (4.38), 4th in broad jump (10'11"), 3rd in 3-cone (6.68)
Kenny Stills - 4th in 40-yard dash (4.38)
