It was reported yesterday that Joselio Hanson was about to re-sign with the Raiders and today the deal is officially done.
Hanson returns to the Raiders for a second season after the team signed him as a free agent late in camp last year. He had spent the previous six seasons in Philadelphia where he was the Eagles long time slot corner.
The Eagles released Hanson during the preseason last year among their roster cutdowns and the Raiders signed him to be their next slot corner. He played in all 16 games last season for the Raiders collecting 2 interceptions, 9 passes defended, and a career high 68 combined tackles (50 solo).
A 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback out of Texas Tech, Hanson has played in 120 career games with 24 starts. His career totals include six interceptions, 51 passes defensed, 3½ sacks and one forced fumble since entering the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2004.
