The Raiders worked out two running backs today - Bernard Scott and Rashard Jennings - and according to Jennings, the Raiders are signing him.

He had tweeted earlier that he had visited the team today as well.

He deleted those tweets a bit later. Then made it official:

He joins a Raiders team which was without depth behind Darren McFadden. Jennings has been the primary backup behind Maurics Jones-Drew in Jacksonville the past few years and immediately becomes the number two back behind McFadden in Oakland.

The 6-1, 234 pound back has a career yards per carry average of 4.2. He had averaged 5.4 yards per carry prior to last season when he started six games and averaged 2.8 yards per carry on 101 carries. He is yet another value signing who hopes to get his career back on track with the rebuilding Raiders.

Raiders new offensive coordinator Greg Olson is familiar with Jennings. Olson was the quarterbacks coach with the Jaguars last season.

The Raiders now head into off-season workouts with a possible four running backs on the roster along with three fullbacks.
