Thursday morning the Raiders officially announced the signing of two free agents - running back Rashad Jennings and safety Reggie Smith. Both had tweeted that they had signed with the team. But Seneca Wallace had also been reported as agreeing to terms with the Raiders and yet he was not included in the official announcement.
As it turns out, the report was either premature or simply not true. Several reports of sources close to the situation are saying the report was inaccurate. The Raiders have confirmed that reports of Wallace agreeing to terms or being expected to sign were never true.
In other words; move along, nothing to see here.
Wallace did visit the team on Wednesday. Tyler Thigpen was also reported as having visited the team. But from the looks of it, the team chose neither quarterback. Reports have since surfaced of a few more QB's paying the Raiders a visit too.
It is rare a team goes into off-season workouts without three quarterbacks on the roster so I would expect they add someone in the next few days.
