The Jets completed a trade today with the Buccaneers that sent Darrelle Revis to Tampa Bay in exchange for the 13 overall pick in the 2013 draft and a round 4 pick in the 2014 draft. Not only does this leave the Jets with a huge hole to fill at corner, but it gives them the ammo they need to trade up to try and fill it.
The Raiders are sitting at number three overall and would like to trade down. The Jets now have the number 9 and 13 picks in the first round. Dee Milliner is the top cornerback talent in this draft and he is very likely to be gone in the top five.
The Jets could easily send one of their first round picks - most likely the number 9 selection as it would cost less additional picks - and a second round pick to the Raiders to move up and get Milliner. Another option for the Jets would be a guy like DE/OLB Dion Jordan (if he's still on the board) who would fit perfectly in the Jets' system.
The Jets would still have two picks in the top 13 of the draft while getting the best cover corner in the draft and the Raiders would still have a top ten pick and add a pick in round two which they currently don't have. And everyone is happy.
