Decatur Alabama is one place Rolando McClain should never go and yet it's the one place in the world he just can't stay away from. He was arrested there for the third time in his NFL career and the second time in a matter of months.
This time McClain was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police officers had ordered McClain and several other people to leave Pines Park in Decatur after a large crowd had gathered there. McClain allegedly refused to leave and began yelling obscenities at the officers. Authorities said McClain was eventually handcuffed and taken to the city jail before bonding out a short time later.
Little Rolandito seems to have a real problem with authority. His arrest back in January came after a minor traffic stop for illegally tinted windows. What should have been a ticket turned into an arrest when he wrote his name on the ticket as "Fuck Yall".
His previous arrest came during the 2011 season in which he was arrested on several charges including assault, menacing, reckless endangerment, and discharging a fire arm in city limits - that discharge happening after putting the weapon to a man's head and then firing it by his ear.
The Raiders released McClain just over two weeks ago and he signed on with the Ravens a couple days later. His Ravens career could be over before it began. The Ravens put no guarantees in his contract, the idea being that he was on a zero tolerance policy.
The tale of Rolando McClain went from tragic to just plain sad. Rarely have I seen a player more the architect of his own demise. The Raiders are sure glad he's no longer their problem.
