Two starting linemen return to Raiders training camp practice

Raiders' defensive lineman Lamarr Houston returned to practice today along with Lucas Nix

The Raiders had two starting linemen returned to practice Tuesday - defensive end Lamarr Houston and offensive guard, Lucas Nix. Neither player played in the team's first preseason game last Friday against the Dallas Cowboys and now look to be healthy enough to play in the team's week two preseason match-up in New Orleans.

Also returning to practice was undrafted rookie middle linebacker, Billy Boyko who has been out nearly the entire training camp. His return helps the depth at middle linebacker behind starter Nick Roach and recently signed, Omar Gaither.

Nix has been out much of camp as well. He went down on day three of camp with an undisclosed injury. He came back last week but missed the game and didn't return to practice Sunday. He was receiving most of the first team reps at left guard prior to his injury and is listed as the starter on the team's unofficial depth chart.

Houston went out on August 1 which was day 6 of camp. His presence was missed in the team's preseason opener on a defensive line that was without three starters. Starting defensive tackles Vance Walker and Pat Sims also did not play in the game. Sims is out with injury and Walker's wife recently had a child.
