The Raiders returned to practice today, two days following their home opening win over the Jaguars. It gave media present at practice the first look at who returned to practice, who did not, and who is missing practice for the first time.
Still out from last week are Menelik Watson and David Ausberry. Watson will be out for some time longer with a knee injury. Ausberry has been rehabbing an injured shoulder and the hope was he would be back at practice this week. He was working along the sideline last week and looked close to returning.
New to the injured list are Tyvon Branch and Lucas Nix who both left Sunday's game with injuries.
Branch reportedly suffered a broken fibula although Dennis Allen is mum on confirming the injury and due to the Raiders playing on Monday night, he is not obligated to give an injury report until Thursday. If the reports are true, Branch could be lost for about 6 weeks.
In Branch's absence, Brandian Ross is taking first team reps. He shared snaps with Usama Young after Branch left the game last week. That is expected to continue.
Nix's injury is also yet unknown and Dennis Allen said following Sunday's game that it was not as significant as Branch's injury. He was replaced by Andre Gurode in the game and that will continue.
