In the second quarter, the Raiders lost both their starting running back, Darren McFadden, and their starting fullback, Marcel Reece, to injuries.
The more serious of the two could be to Marcel Reece who left in the second quarter, headed to the locker room and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Initially Darren McFadden went out with a hamstring injury but he returned to the game. He then left again and was ruled questionable to return.
The Raiders can ill afford to lose either player. Reece is the a Pro Bowl player and known as the biggest mismatch in the NFL from the fullback position. Darren McFadden is a game breaker but thus far this season, the Raiders appear is relatively good hands with Rashad Jennings. The same can't be said for Jamize Olawale replacing Reece.
We'll know more later on if McFadden can return to the game. As for Reece, we will wait to find out if he will miss extended time with his knee injury.
