Raiders fans chat here during the Broncos vs Ravens 2013 NFL season opener.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 NFL seasons officially begins tonight when the Broncos take on the Ravens in their Thursday Night match-up. These ones count (finally).

As Raiders fans, you undoubtedly will be rooting hard for the Broncos to lose and perhaps much worse than that.

This is a rematch of the AFC playoff game that saw the Ravens knock the Broncos out of the playoffs. This isn't the same Ravens as last season, however. Many of the stars of that Ravens Super Bowl squad took their ring and left. Gone are All Pro defenders Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. The Ravens (oddly) tried to replace both two of the Raiders former top draft picks.

Ed Reed is replaced at free safety by long time Raider MIchael Huff and the Ravens initially signed Rolando McClain to replace Lewis but McClain was arrested again before he could even take the practice field and promptly retired from football to try and straighten out his life.

One of the more interesting storylines is the Broncos facing their former Pro Bowl defensive end, Elvis Dumervil, who was allowed to leave as a free agent due to a fax machine snaffoo. He was in the other uniform that last time he stepped on the football field.

It should be one heck of a game and offer much to chat about.
