But wait, there's more. Just one more (for now). The Raiders announced today they have added one more reserve/future contract. They have signed free agent safety Tony Dye, bringing the total reserve/future deals handed out to 14.
Dye came into the league the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He spent the entire 2012 season on the Reserve/Injured list with an ankle injury. He returned to Bengals camp in 2013 but didn't make the final roster and was signed to the Bengals' practice squad. He was signed to the active roster midseason and appeared in one game, primarily on special teams, before being waived on Dec. 12 and re-signed to the practice squad.
The 5-foot-10, 205 pound safety was a three-year starter at UCLA and led the team in tackles (96) as a junior, earning a PAC-10 honorable mention.
He is the first reserve/future contract by a safety this off-season for the Raiders.
