Reggie McKenzie confirms Bobby April to return as Raiders special teams coordinator

Earlier this week there were reports that Raiders special teams coordinator, Bobby April re-signing with the Raiders was a "done deal". Those reports were met with reports that April had yet to sign a deal. The in-between was the possibility of a deal being imminent. McKenzie confirmed Thursday that indeed was the case according to several media members in attendance.

April becomes yet another member of Dennis Allen's staff to return from last season. He joins defensive coordinator Jason Tarver, and offensive line coach Tony Sparano as confirmed coaches to re-sign. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson and linebackers coach Bob Sanders will also return as they're still under contract after signing two-year deals last off-season.

Others reportedly extending their deals include defensive line coach Terrell Williams, quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo, and running backs coach Kelly Skipper.

Reports have the team parting ways with defensive backs coaches Clayton Lopez and Jonnie Lynn along with assistant special teams coach, Kieth Burns.

This leaves wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore, tight ends coach Mark Hutson, and senior offensive assistant Al Saunders among those whose statuses are unknown.
