The most recently signings were that of QB Trent Edwards, DT David Carter, and DT Torell Troupe.
Trent Edwards was in camp with the Raiders a couple seasons ago. The former 2007 third round pick out of Stanford will once again try to break through on a roster currently without an answer at the quarterback position. He was out of football last season and last played an NFL game in 2012 for the Eagles.
Carter was a sixth round draft pick by the Cardinals in 2011 where he spent two seasons, appearing in 32 games, totaling 29 tackles, one sack, two passes defensed and one forced fumble. He appeared in three games for the Cowboys last season.
Troupe was a second round pick in 2010 by the Bills. He played in 21 games for the Bills before suffering a back injury and hasn't played football since 2011.
Jack Cornell spent this season off and on between the Raiders practice squad and the active roster. He was a valuable replacement at right tackle with the injuries the Raiders sustained along the offensive line this season.
Eric Harper and Brian Leonhardt were both in camp with the Raiders this year with Harper spending much of this season on the practice squad.
