The first playoff game is set to begin and it features one of three AFC West teams in this year's playoffs. The Chiefs are in Indianapolis to face the Colts in the first of two Wild Card games today and the first of four over the next two days.
The Chiefs got some good news today with premier pass rusher, Tamba Hali activated for the game. They are still without his bookend pass rush specialist Justin Houston. But even without Houston, the Chiefs defense is very formidable. They aren't impenetrable, however. Matt McGloin picked up yards on completions in big chunks against them in week 15, throwing for nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns. Rashad Jennings also ran for nearly 100 yards with two touchdowns on them as well.
Andrew Luck and the Colts offensive coaches no doubt watched that tape as a way to help them beat the Chiefs in Kansas City the very next week. Now they look to do it again -- this time in their own house. The Colts have beaten nearly every one of the best teams in the NFL this season. They have beaten the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, and Chiefs this season which is incredibly impressive.
The Colts are favored in this game and I expect them to win as well. Should be a good game.
