Eagles vs Saints Wild Card game day open thread

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

The second of the Wild Card games is up now with the Philadelphia Eagles set to face the New Orleans Saints.

The Eagles have been on a hot streak late in the season, winning seven of their last eight games to finish 10-6 on the season. Can you guess when that hot streak began? That's right, week seven when Nick Foles blew up with an NFL record tying seven touchdown passes against the Raiders. That started a five-game win streak for the Eagles. And if you think the 49 they posted on the Raiders was their best, you didn't watch them post 54 points on the Bears in week 16.

The Saints were one of the Super Bowl favorites in the preseason. They were my early pick to win it all with the way they were firing on all cylinders on offense and defense. The defense was the shocker. Everyone already knows what Drew Brees and that Saints offense can do.

With the Eagles white hot and the 11-5 Saints as one of the best in the NFL, this should be one heck of a game.
