The Raiders continue to poke around trying to find a few players to add to their off-season roster. Wednesday the team worked out eight players including defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson and running back Joe McKnight.
Anderson is a former 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2007 draft. He spent his first four seasons with the Falcons. He spent the next two seasons with the Colts and Bengals respectively. He tore his quadriceps muscle in 2012 that kept him off a team last season.
McKnight is a kick return specialist mostly. The former fourth round pick by the Jets and played three seasons in New York before being among the final roster cuts prior to last season. After being cut, he couldn't find a team interested in signing him. Then he got in trouble for missing a court date related to unpaid traffic tickets.
The other players the team worked out were LB Frank Beltre, DE Donte Paige-Moss, RB Jordan Thompson, FS Neiko Thorpe, LB Devan Walker, and OG Jarrod Shaw.
The Raiders have already signed ten players to reserve/future contracts since the season ended. That's the contract these players are working out for.
