DJ Hayden activated from PUP, activate Denico Autry from practice squad

The Raiders announced today they have activated second year cornerback D.J. Hayden from the PUP list. Hayden was placed on the PUP prior to this season after he was slow to heal from a broken foot he suffered back in May.

The former top pick spent the first six weeks on PUP and has practiced with the team the past two weeks. He was eligible to return to action last week against the Cardinals but remained inactive.

This week head coach Tony Sparano said Hayden was "good to go" as far as the injury was concerned but due to Hayden's lengthy absence, he needed to make sure he was ready to play in a game without risk of injuring himself again and perform 100%.

Along with Hayden's activation, the team called up undrafted rookie defensive end Denico Autry from the practice squad.

The roster spots were opened up by the team placing Lamarr Woodley (torn biceps) and Usama Young (torn ACL/MCL) on injured reserve.
