Most of the games this week are happening early on. And despite the fact that the Raiders are all the way in Ohio, they are not one of them.
The first game of the day starts a bit earlier than usual. It's the Lions vs Falcons in London. It will kick off at 6:30am Pacific. Yes, you read that right. 6:30am. So, finally an East Coast team can know what it feels like to play football early in the morning. And East Coast fans can know what it feels like to have football on in the morning. That game is just about over by now.
Many good games in the early going. AFC West rival Chiefs battle for the state of Missouri with the Rams who are on a high after beating the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks last week. The battle for the state of New York happens in...well, it happens in New Jersey, but whatever. The Texans play the franchise formerly known as the Houston Oilers who uprooted and moved to Tennessee (Lord, I really feel real strange. Down and out, losing ground...).
Most of you will see the aforementioned defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks take on the Carolina Panthers on CBS or the Bears vs the Patriots on FOX. Across much of the midwest, the game of the week is division rival Bengals vs Ravens
Here are all the early match-ups:
Detroit at Atlanta
St. Louis at Kansas City
Houston at Tennessee
Minnesota at Tampa Bay
Seattle at Carolina
Baltimore at Cincinnati
Miami at Jacksonville
Chicago at New England
Buffalo at NY Jets
