This one was bizarre from the very start. The Raiders drove down the field to start the game, gouging the Browns porous run defense to move into field goal range. Sebastian Janikowski came out onto the field for what would have been a 57-yard attempt, but the Raiders faked it. The snap came to Matt Schaub, who bobbled it, recovered it, and threw into double coverage for an interception.

The Browns were in scoring position to begin their drive and converted on a field goal to jump out to a 3-0 lead.

The Browns would continue to drive for field goals in the first half while the Raiders offense couldn't get going. The Browns scored on their next two possessions, before the half. The first drive was highlighted by a 48-yard screen pass that put them in scoring position at the Oakland 24-yard line. The second drive went 86 yards in in 10 plays, lasting 5:14.

It left 5:45 on the clock for the Raiders to try and make a dent in the Browns 9-0 lead. They were able to do just that, thanks in large part to a great pass to Mychal Rivera, who made an even better catch for a 22-yard gain. The Raiders settled for a field goal to pull it to 9-3.

The Raiders defense stepped up and stopped the Browns for a three and out which gave the Raiders offense 1:35 to attempt to add some point before halftime. And again, they delivered with Derek Carr hitting Andre Holmes on the first play of the drive for a 31-yard gain which instantly put them in field goal range. They converted a field goal heading into halftime to pull to down 9-6.

Things went off the rails late in the third quarter when Darren McFadden took a hit from Donte Whitner and fumbled the ball. Joe Haden caught it in the air for the recovery. The Browns scored a touchdown in three plays to take a 16-6 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Late in the fourth quarter, with the Raiders inside their own 20-yard line, Derek Carr ran into his own offensive lineman, and fumbled the ball. The Browns recovered and in two plays they went up the middle for another touchdown. Wit ha 23-6 lead and 2:26 remaining, the game was in the books.

The Raiders drove for a late score with a touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Andre Holmes to give us the final score of 23-13. It didn't factor in the result of the game but it gave Derek Carr his ninth touchdown pass and the Raiders rookie record for touchdown passes.

The Raiders had three turnovers in the game -- an interception by Matt Schaub, a fumble by Derek Carr, and a fumble by Darren McFadden. All three turnovers resulted in scores with both lost fumbles resulting in Browns touchdowns.to put the game away late.

The Raiders fell to 0-7 with a brutal schedule ahead including a trip to Seattle next week. This could get worse long before it gets better. If it gets better at all.
