Justin Tuck among eight to miss practice on Raiders injury report

New, comments
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Raiders were missing a grip of players from practice today. One of those missing was Justin Tuck with a neck injury. Here is what Tony Sparano said of Tuck's injury.

"At this point in time, not very (concerned)," Sparano said of Tuck's injury. "Honestly I'm not sure, it's just one of those things he woke up with. We'll see how it is tomorrow, but at this point in time, I wouldn't say it will be hopefully ok."

Khalif Barnes was limited as well which, with Gabe Jackson missing practice would seem to put the left guard position in question. Though Sparano says he doesn't foresee there being an issue there, if for some reason Barnes can't go the team would turn to either Tony Bergstrom (remember him?) or Kevin Boothe.

T.J. Carrie was limited again today with his ankle injury that had him out Sunday against the Broncos. Sparano said Carrie was moving around a lot better today than he was Sunday before the game when the decision was made to make him inactive for the game.

D.J. Hayden missed practice with his groin injury and Sparano said there was concern about Hayden missing time "from a fundamental standpoint" and added there is uncertainty about when he will return. He also said he doesn't think it's a re-aggravation of the groin injury that landed Hayden on injured reserve last season.
