Switcheroo: DJ Hayden returns, TJ Carrie not practicing for Raiders

After missing Wednesday's practice, both D.J. Hayden and Menelik Watson were back at practice according to media in attendance. Both players had left Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Watson was back from a concussion he suffered last Sunday. He must still pass the concussion protocol all week, including on game day to be cleared to play.

Hayden suffered a groin injury that him leave the game in the third quarter. It was a concern because a groin injury was what placed him on injured reserve last season. It was Hayden's first start of the season and he was already injured again.

Now is when I remind everyone that practicing doesn't guarantee he will be healthy enough to play this week. T.J. Carrie practiced all last week and missed last week's game. But either way, his return to practice is a very positive sign that the groin injury isn't serious.

Signs for Carrie are not so positive. He was practicing on Wednesday and was not at practice on Thursday which suggests he may have had a setback in the progress of his ankle injury.

Also returning to practice was fullback Jamize Olawale.
