The Pro Bowl voting is in full swing and the early results are in. One of the more interesting of the results I noticed were in looking at the vote results of the top ten at each position which had the names of Ravens rookie C.J. Mosley and Vikings rookie Anthony Barr listed but Raiders rookie linebacker Khalil Mack was nowhere to be found.
When looking at their respective numbers, grades, and the consensus opinions, Khalil Mack is a top contender for rookie of the year. He is one of the few shining stars on a winless Raiders squad.
Mosley is currently second among inside linebackers in the voting below only Panthers' Luke Kuechly. Anthony Barr is tenth among outside linebackers in voting.
Mosley has 90 combined tackles (58 solo) over ten starts and his inclusion on the list of the best inside linebackers is deserved. Number two seems a bit much though. By the way, Rolando McClain is currently fifth in voting among inside linebackers.
Mack is third in Pro Football Focus grading behind only Von Miller and Justin Houston - who are one and two in Pro Bowl voting at outside linebacker.
Also in ESPN's midseason awards show, Mack was named the top Rookie so far.
The only Raiders player among the top players in voting at any position is Marcel Reece who is fourth among fullbacks
