We're into the home stretch with the staff picks neck and neck for the top spots and the playoff races heating up across the league. We nailed an astounding 9 of 10 consensus picks this week, missing on just one - we all picked the 49ers to beat the Raiders. After their 52-0 shellacking in St Louis, can you blame us?
In a season that has been fairly lopsided between the good teams and the bad, we have done well with our picks most weeks. This week was one of those weeks, with no one doing worse than 10-6 and most coming in at 11-5 or better.
After a dismal record of 6-10 last week, Tyler came charging back to put up the best record this week at 14-2, missing only consensus pick 49ers who lost to the Raiders and near consensus pick Eagles who lost to the Seahawks and nailing his rogue pick of the Panthers over the Saints. He jumped up to tie with myself for the top spot. I had a respectable 11-5 mark but that wasn't good enough.
Marcus had to low mark at 10-6 in part by being the only one to pick the Chiefs over the Cardinals.
This week, we have nine consensus picks - Steelers, Giants, Patriots, Chiefs*, Ravens, Packers, Broncos, Lions, and Seahawks.
Going rogue is Marcus picking the Texans over the Colts, and Tyler taking the Cowboys in Philadelphia.
