The Raiders were dealt a huge blow this week. Starting weakside linebacker Sio Moore has been ruled out for their game against the Chiefs this Sunday.
Moore missed two practices this week, including Friday's practice with a hip injury. At that time he was officially listed as questionable for the game. The team changed his status on Saturday, ruling him out.
This morning the Raiders did the same thing they had done the last time they lost Sio Moore to injury -- they called up undrafted rookie Bojay Filimoeatu from the practice squad.
With Sio Moore injured, the Raiders linebacking corps is severely weakened. He was hobbled last week against the 49ers and it was evident with his having just one tackle in the game. He was also a liability in coverage.
The Raiders now have four linebackers on the active roster in Khalil Mack, Miles Burris, Ray Ray Armstrong, and Filimoeatu. Not an ideal scenario when facing the likes of Jamaal Charles and an offense which is known to dink and dunk offenses to death.
