After suffering a setback with his injured ankle, Raiders rookie cornerback, T.J. Carrie has officially been ruled out for the Raiders season finale in Denver Sunday.
Carrie was questionable for the game after missing the first two practices this week and being limited for the final practice.
The seventh round rookie would have started at corner for the team had he been healthy, with former starters Carlos Rogers and Tarell Brown both on injured reserve.
Starting on one side will be D.J. Hayden. Who starts in Carrie's place is a bit more uncertain at this point. Chimdi Chekwa is the next on the depth chart but he too has been ruled out for the game.
The favorite to start would be fellow rookie fourth round pick, Keith McGill. Carrie outplayed McGill in camp and preseason and then McGill struggled with injuries much of the season. The team would like to see what they have in him before heading into the off-season.
Other corners on the team who could see time are Neiko Thorpe, Ras-I Dowling, and Chance Casey.
He will also need to be replaced as a return man. Those duties will likely fall to Latavius Murray and George Atkinson III.
