Oakland Raiders interviewed Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell for Head Coach

The Oakland Raiders have not been dormant since the season ended, that is for sure. Apparently, they have been busier than we even knew. Another candidate for the head coaching job has emerged and this one has apparently already interviewed.

This surprise candidate is Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell, and according to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll he has already interviewed with the Raiders "the other night". With Seattle's success recently, you know being the defending Super Bowl Champion and number 1 seed in the NFC this year, Bevell will no doubt be a hot candidate to take over somebody's team.

Darrell Bevell has been the Seahawks OC since 2011 which is when Pete Carroll took over in Seattle and orchestrated their now historic turnaround. Before that he was the OC under Brad Childress in Minnesota from 2006-2010, which included being Brett Favre's offensive coordinator for his best season of his career which happened in Minnesota in 2009.

In fact, that was not the first time that he had worked with Brett Favre as he was the Green Bay Packers Quarterbacks Coach from 2003-2005. This is actually where Reggie McKenzie would have first worked with Bevell and is probably a big reason why he was so quick to interview Darrell. Reggie McKenzie was the director of player personnel for the Packers during that time span.

Tell us what you think Raiders Nation, would Darrell Bevell be a good choice for the Oakland Raiders next head coach? The comments section is all yours!
