NFL Free Agency Day 3 live blog, open thread

Ok, so let's get this live blog going again today. The Raiders still have yet to make most of the moves they are expected to make and some of those could go down today. They had several visits yesterday but none of those have yet to result in contracts. Here is what we know so far:

Raiders re-signed:

RB Darren McFadden 1-year, $4 million (max with $2.25 million in incentives)

OL Khalif Barnes 1-year $1.5 million

Raiders free agents signed elsewhere:

OT Jared Veldheer, Arizona Cardinals 5-year, $35 million, $17 million guaranteed

DE Lamarr Houston, Chicago Bears, 5-year, $35 million

RB Rashad Jennings, New York Giants, 4-year, $14 million, $3 million guaranteed

Outside free agents Raiders signed:

OL Rodger Saffold 5-year, $42.5 million, $16 million guaranteed VOIDED

OT Austin Howard 5-year, $30 million, $15 million guaranteed

Let's get caught up...

Yesterday the Raiders signed offensive tackle Austin Howard to a very cap friendly deal. Howard said today that he wanted to come to the Raiders to play for Tony Sparano who he played under in New York.

While Sparano is attracting offensive linemen, Mark Davis is scaring them away. He put the kibosh on the team's deal with offensive tackle Rodger Saffold, blaming "failed physical" despite several doctors, including the Raiders team doctor, and specialists saying Saffold was fine.

All free agent visitors Wednesday left without signing to visit other teams. The Raiders clearly didn't make them an offer they couldn't refuse.
