Free Agency Day 4 Open Thread

New, comments
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Today is day 4 of Free Agency in the NFL which means most of the top tier players are gone and it is now getting to the time where you can get some better deals on players. This is the bread and butter time for teams to sign talented players at more affordable rates, the first few days are always full of teams over paying for players.

The Raiders are said to have had DE/DT Antonio Smith from the Houston Texans in town for a visit, along with former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Donald Penn, and they are also rumored to be the next stop for Ravens Tackle Michael Oher as well. With so many different spots that could use an upgrade and still a large amount of money to spend there should be more rumors associated to the Raiders coming soon as well.

The positions that Oakland still needs to address are plentiful so action should still take place in the near future. They still need to take a look at another Safety (or pay Charles Woodson enough to keep him from retiring), they need to add another cornerback with Tracy Porter leaving for Washington and Michael Jenkins not yet having been re-signed, and DT where they still have Pat Sims and Vance Walker as un-signed free agents. Oh yeah, they still could be interested in a QB, RB, WR, and G too. In other words, everywhere.

The latest rumor about a Raiders free agent ready to sign elsewhere is regarding DT Vance Walker who is reportedly close to signing a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. It would be the first Raider this season to cross enemy lines and join a divisional rival.

Chat here with your fellow Raiders fans about the moves being made and the moves you would like to be made. If any news breaks we will let you know as quickly as possible!
