One of the latest small school prospects to come in and get a look see from the Raiders is Concordia- St Paul defensive end, Zach Moore as confirmed by his agent.
The NFL got a good look at Moore at the Minnesota pro day. They came for Minnesota DT Ra-Shede Hageman, but stayed for Zach Moore. He made enough of an impression for teams to schedule visits with him to look into perhaps taking a flier on him in the lower rounds.
The 6-5, 269-pound defensive lineman was a top recruit out of high school but was declared academically ineligible to attend any Division one schools. He lit it up at Concordia, putting up a school record 33 sacks over his four seasons for the Golden Bears. That's the kind of production that will garner some attention regardless of the level of competition.
He was invited to the scouting combine where is 4.84 40-yard dash and 4.46 20-yard shuttle both just cracked the top 15 among defensive linemen. His 10-3 broad jump was tied for fourth among defensive linemen.
He was named to the NSIC South Division All-Conference First Team each of the last three years.
He is a defensive end who, if he could put on weight, could also potentially slide inside to 3-tech defensive tackle.
