Darren McFadden Raiders gear still among top 50 sold

When you go to a Raiders game it's easy to see which jersey is the best selling on the team. The McFadden #20 jerseys are everywhere. But last year when it seemed he was on his way out with just one 1000-yard season over his time with the Raiders, you kind of thought all those jerseys were purchased in better days. Apparently not.

The latest report of the top 50 in sales last year came out and again making the list was none other than Darren McFadden. He was the only Raiders player to have his merchandise crack the top 50 -- landing at number 33.

Now, some of this result has to do with a lack of alternatives. I mean which other Raiders player would have the greater percentage of fans purchasing their merchandise? There's no star quarterback like nine of the top ten best selling players on this list. There's no big time receiver. Charles Woodson, maybe? Except fans either already had his jersey or they weren't going to invest in one at the end of his career.

Fans love "skill position" players. McFadden was the last high draft pick the Raiders had at a skill position that wasn't a complete bust and is still actually on the team.
