The Raiders are making use of their visits to get to know a few of the lesser known prospects in this year's draft. Last week they hosted Northern Illinois defensive lineman, Ken Bishop. Today they had cornerback out of Virginia-Lynchburg, Keith Lewis in for a visit. This according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Last season the 5-11, 194 pound cornerback racked up 7 interceptions (3 returned for touchdowns), 15 passes defended, 56 Tackles.
Lewis was not invited the scouting combine so if teams want to get an up close and personal look at him, this is how they will go about doing it.
Lewis jumped onto radar at the Richmond Pro Day. He is now seen as a seventh round prospect, of which the Raiders currently have two.
He ran a 4.45 40-yard-dash which would have had him tied for 8th among cornerbacks at the scouting combine. His 4.11 short shuttle would have also been top ten at the combine. He also had a 6.89 three-cone drill, a 31-inch vertical, and a 10-3 broad jump.
Here is video of his pro day:
Lewis will head to Kansas City to visit the Chiefs next.
