The Raiders have made another undrafted free agent signing. They signed former Mississippi State defensive end Denico Autry to a deal. In a corresponding move, they waived nose tackle David Carter.
The 6-6, 265-pound Autry spent the past two seasons at Mississippi State as a JuCo transfer. In those two years in Starkville, he started 23 of 26 games and registered 73 total tackles with 16 tackles for a loss and six sacks while forcing three fumbles. He had 31 tackles and 2.0 sacks last year as the Bulldogs earned a berth in the Liberty Bowl.
He came to Mississippi State as one of the most highly sought after Junior College transfer recruits in the nation. He was a first team NCJAA All-American at East Mississippi Community College where he had 11 sacks and an incredible 41 quarterback hurries to help the Lions win the NJCAA National Championship.
Carter had been signed by the Raiders to a reserve/future contract last January.
