Analysis:

Large cornerbacks are becoming very valuable in the NFL. Teams are beginning to mimic the Seattle Seahawks mentality of stacking the secondary with long, tall defensive backs. Bashaud Breeland is one of those cornerbacks that has ideal size. At 5'11", 197 lbs, Breeland will physically be able to match up with many of the wide receivers in the NFL.

Breeland's long arms help him high point jump balls. He covers a lot of range in the secondary and has quick feet allowing him to break on balls. He is athletic and has fluid hips. Breeland has impressive instincts and often baits the Quarterback into throwing the ball. He is very physical and provides good run support.

Negatives:

At times, Breeland can be caught bending over when tackling. It would benefit him to play more under control and not take so many risks. Is not as strong as his size would suggest. Breeland ran a 4.62 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He does not have a great vertical jump (34.5").
