Over the past few months, you have pretty much heard just about every possible player rumored to go to just about every team imaginable. Most of those rumors are posturing as team send out smoke signals trying to convince other teams they could take their guy if they don't trade up to get him.
Those rumors and buzz are flying around in a frenzy today as the draft finally approaches.
The latest rumors would affect the Raiders picks in the first two rounds. The most common one being the Raiders reported interest in Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans. Pro Football Talk took it to another level today saying the Raiders could like him more than Sammy Watkins.
How true it is remains to be seen. The 49ers have been reported as wanting to move up in the draft and some have suggested they would do business with the Falcons at the sixth pick not thinking the Raiders would take Evans but the Buccaneers at seen certainly would. The Raiders would then need to make it known that it is they who teams should be calling if they want Evans.
The next rumor is Raiders interest in Pittsburgh quarterback, Tom Savage. According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle the Raiders were enamored with Savage before most other NFL teams began showing interest. And now that the secret is out, if the Raiders want him, they may have to take him with their second round pick.
Simultaneously, the rumors that the Raiders could still be interested in Derek Carr have been making the rounds. So, it's hard to know for sure. But we'll keep you updated on the rumors out there as best we can so you can decide which ones have any truth behind them and which ones are to throw other teams off the track.
