Raiders' newly acquired defensive lineman Antonio Smith had a minor surgery recently, Reggie McKenzie told ESPN's Paul Gutierrez Friday.

The Raiders expect he will be ready to go for training camp although it is unlikely he would participate in any of the off-season activities.
The 32-year-old defensive lineman was signed as a free agent this off-season from the Texans. He started all but two games the past five seasons in Houston and was a Pro Bowler in 2011. His 2013 season was on par with his career production with 30 tackles and 5.0 sacks.
Smith signed a 2-year, $9 million deal with the Raiders in March and is expected to start at right defensive tackle alongside Pat Sims and add some much needed pass rush to the Raiders defense.
