Raiders training camp injury update: CJ Wilson sees first camp practice

The injury news was fairly good today. Namely the fact that everyone finished practice so there it appears there are no new injuries. They also got a couple players back out there.

Practicing with the team today for the first time was defensive tackle C.J. Wilson. He was on the Non-Football Injury list all camp.

Austin Howard had left practice on Wednesday with stiffness in his back and was on the field for practice today.

Not returning today was Antonio Smith who left Wednesday with a groin issue. The immediate concern is that it is a residual affect or perhaps re-injury of the sports hernia he suffered this off-season. Dennis Allen said after practice that the trainers said his groin was feeling a bit better and that he didn't think the groin issue has anything to do with the sports hernia. Until he returns healthy, it can't be ruled out.

Still out are Juron Criner (hamstring), Greg Little (hamstring), Kaluka Maiava (hamstring), Shelton Johnson (hamstring... stop if this is sounding redundant), and Marshall McFadden (hip flexor). The PUP list consists of DJ Hayden (foot), Usama Young (quad), and Lucas Nix (knee). The NFI list is populated with just defensive tackle, Stacy McGee.
