Raiders vs Lions preseason second half open thread

The Raiders second teamers take the field to start the second half down 16-10 against the Lions. The first team were terrible to start out and then started to do some good things midway through the second quarter.

After looking like they might be better this week early on, things went downhill fast. Schaub went for James Jones on a crossing route and the defender got a piece of it to knock it in the air where James Ihedigbo picked it off and got a pretty good return out of it.

The Lions would score touchdowns on their first two possessions with Matt Stafford carving up the Raiders defense. He went 9 for 10 for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns. All the while the Raiders defense was anemic, their offense wasn't doing any better, going three and out two straight times and suddenly they were down 13-0 in the first quarter.

On their fourth drive, the Raiders finally started to show signs of life. A few completions and Sebastian Janikowski came in and hit a 55-yard field goal. The Lions were called for 12 men on the field and the Raiders opted for the first down. That decision paid off as the Raiders finished off the drive for a touchdown to send the first team offense off on a high note.
