Raiders training camp injury update: Sio Moore sidelined

New, comments
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

After and up and down injury report each day, the Raiders got a lot of good news today. Several Raiders returned from injury today.

The best news may be the return of Antonio Smith. His groin injury was concerning after having sports hernia surgery this off-season. He was seen wearing large packs of ice on his inner thighs following practice on Friday so it was all the more surprising to see him on the field today.

Justin Tuck returned after missing just one day with a groin issue of his own.

Coming off the NFI list and seeing his first practice of this camp was Stacy McGee. It put the Raiders defensive line at full strength for the first time this training camp.

Also getting a boost was the receiving corps. Not only was Denarius Moore back after leaving practice yesterday, but Juron Criner and Greg Little both returned from their respective hamstring injuries. Just a few days ago, they were banged up and today they too were at full strength.

As of now, it's the linebacking corps that has the most missing players. Sio Moore wasn't practicing today with a rib injury. Dennis Allen says it isn't serious and he thinks he could be back after the day off tomorrow.

Moore joins Kaluka Maiava (hamstring), and Marshall McFadden (hip flexor) as linebacker not practicing with injuries.

The three-man PUP list remains the same with DJ Hayden (foot), Usama Young (quad), and Lucas Nix (knee).
