Raiders injury update: Sio Moore, Menelik Watson return to practice

Just days after Sio Moore was taken from the field on a stretcher, he is back practicing for the Raiders according to media on hand. Moore took a hard hit to the side of his helmet in last Friday's preseason game in Green Bay. He laid motionless on the field momentarily and was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher and to a local hospital for observation.

The diagnosis was a neck strain which was the best possible news and he returned to the stadium to travel back to Oakland with the team.

Also returning to practice was Menelik Watson who suffered a hip flexor injury in that same game against the Packers.

Neither are expected to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Seahawks in Oakland, but their return suggests they will be ready for the regular season opener on September 7th.

Those still not practicing were Matt Schaub (elbow tendinitis) Nick Roach (concussion), David Ausberry (knee), Chimdi Chekwa (knee), Taiwan Jones (knee).

Sebastian Janikowski was doing some light kicking and will not be full go until the season opener.

The team also announced several roster transactions including placing tight end Nick Kasa (ACL tear) on injured reserve, running back Kory Sheets (Achilles tear) waived/injured, and D.J. Hayden (foot) on the PUP list.
