After having five starters miss practice on Wednesday, the Raiders got some good news Thursday -- three of them were back practicing according to media present at practice. Justin Tuck was out with illness and he returned today. But most notably Maurice Jones-Drew and Carlos Rogers were back at practice.
Jones-Drew had been out all last week after he suffered a hand injury in the opener that required a minor procedure to be done. Dennis Allen said at the time that MJD was "day-to-day" and missed the home opener last week against Houston. Hist status for the game is still uncertain.
Rogers had a unexpected knee injury but his return suggests that maybe it was just some soreness or at least something minor.
The two starters who still are not practicing are Sio Moore and Rod Streater -- both of whom were injured in last week's game. Moore suffered an ankle injury and Streater had a hip flexor. Streater said he would be back by Friday and "good to go" for Sunday's game in New England. We'll see tomorrow if that is indeed the case.
