Fox Sports Jay Glazer has reported that Dennis Allen has been informed of his termination as head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
Breaking: Raiders have just informed Dennis Allen he is fired.

Dennis Allen had ta errible a go of it as the leader of the Oakland Raiders finishing his career with a putrid record of 8-28. He had lost 10 straight games going back to last year and has several of the Raiders worst games under his belt. It was a failed hiring by Reggie McKenzie since day one, and DA's removal just 4 games into his third season is an admittance of such.
The Raiders apparently informed Dennis Allen of his firing in a very respectful way.....
The #Raiders fired Dennis Allen tonight over the phone. Really.

Ouch.
The leading candidates to replace Dennis Allen as interim head coach are Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson, Offensive line coach Tony Sparano, or offensive assistant Al Saunders. Whoever it is has a huge task ahead of them to try and turn this sinking ship around. It would take a huge effort for any of these coaches to win the job permanently so expect the real coaching search to start after the season is over.
