Rob Moore lands Raiders wide receivers coach position

Rob Moore interviewed with the Raiders Sunday. That interview went well. He is now the Raiders wide receivers coach according to Jerry McDonald of the Mercury News.

It has been anything but a slow news day for the Raiders. Moore is one of three hires the team made along the offensive side of the ball today. The others were tight ends coach, Bobby Johnson and running backs coach Bernie Parmalee.

As for Moore and Parmalee, they were both longtime NFL players during the same era Jack Del Rio played, so he likely remembers them well from those days. Del Rio was a middle linebacker who likely faced both players on the field a few times. A former NFL player who sees that as a strong credential in a coach.

Moore coached the wide receivers in Buffalo last season. That is his only NFL coaching experience. Previously he had coached wide receivers at the college level for five years.
