Outside of Amari Cooper, the Raiders haven't gotten much playing time from their rookie class this season. Third round pick tight end Clive Walford was supposed to have had a few starts under his belt by this point, or at least played extensively, but that has yet to happen. And until this week, second round pick Mario Edwards hadn't seen a lot of time either. That changed Sunday.
Edwards not only was listed as the starting nose tackle, he saw 50 of 58 snaps against the Broncos (86%). He had yet to start a game this season and had seen a total of 79 snaps (10, 27, 15, 27). through four games.
As a result of his newfound snaps, he finished with six tackles (3 solo) which was tied with Khalil Mack for the team lead. He also had half sack and a hurry.
