It may be the bye week for the Raiders, but they are still making roster moves. Thursday they released safety Keenan Lambert who joined the team just prior to the start of the regular season.
Lambert is an undrafted free agent rookie out of Norfolk State. He spent the offseason with the Seattle Seahawks and had 6 combined tackles in the preseason (3 solo) and one pass defended. Five of those tackles came in the preseason finale against the Raiders. He also had 2 special teams tackles -- also both against the Raiders.
When the Seahawks waived him in their final roster cuts, the Raiders claimed him and he spent the first five games on the team. He appeared in three games and didn't record a single statistic either on defense or special teams in the first five games.
No corresponding move was announced, though you can expect there will be a player added before the team begins practice next week in preparation for their week 7 game against the Chargers.
