Latest news:

The injury status of starting defensive back TJ Carrie is of some concern at the moment. He left last Sunday's game against the Bears with a chest injury of unknown severity. If he practices Wednesday, that would be a tremendous relief for the team which is already thin in the secondary. He moved from cornerback to safety the past two games in the absence of Nate Allen. Starting Carrie's place at cornerback last week was newly signed cornerback, David Amerson. Replacing Carrie at safety for the second half Sunday was Larry Asante.

Looking ahead

The Raiders face their first AFC West opponent next Sunday as the 4-0 Denver Broncos come to town. After the Broncos, the Raiders have their bye week before heading to San Diego for another AFC West match-up. It will be six weeks until the Raiders face a team that is currently below .500 when they head to Detroit to face the Lions who are currently 0-4.
