Bears vs. Chargers Monday Night Football open thread

Monday Night Football is here, even if it is a game of two teams that both have struggled mightily this year. Tonight's game is between the 2-5 Chicago Bears and the 2-6 San Diego Chargers, two teams that the Raiders have already played this year. The Bears actually got one of their two wins on the season in a last second field goal victory over the Raiders, but the Chargers got walloped by the Silver and Black at home earlier this year.

It could be a fun game to watch despite the records. Both teams have talented quarterbacks that can score quickly if they are playing well so it could very well end up being a shootout tonight. Philip Rivers of the Chargers is one of the best QB's in the league and Jay Cutler for the Bears has been known to sling the ball around from time to time.

Both teams will be missing star players though which is too bad, you always like to see the best the team's have to offer suit up under the bright lights of Monday Night. The Bears will be without their starting RB Matt Forte who accounted for the highest percentage of their team's offense from a single player in the NFL this year before injury. The Chargers on the other hand are missing Keenan Allen who was having an all-pro season at WR before a kidney lacerated put him on the shelf for the rest of the year.

With both teams failing to meet expectations this year and missing key players we really don't know what to expect from them. It could very well be a good game, or a snooze fest. Hopefully we get the good game though, if both offenses play as well as they can then it would be a shootout.
