Raiders to activate Leon Orr from practice squad

Prior to the team's week 14 game against the Broncos, the Raiders have called up rookie Leon Orr from the practice squad as Leon Orr said via his Twitter account on Friday.

The 6-5, 323-pound defensive tackle went undrafted out of Florida. He didn't make the squad out of training camp, but impressed enough to earn a spot on the team's practice squad. This is the first time this season he has been called up to the active roster.

There is no word yet on a corresponding move, but if I had to speculate, I would say rookie linebacker Neiron Ball -- who was drafted in the fifth round, also out of Florida -- is placed on injured reserve. He missed practice again this week and is officially out for Sunday's game. With just three games after this week, Jack Del Rio the team would be considering whether to shut him down the rest of the way.
