Hope you all enjoyed the large slate of early NFL games. The Raiders at Broncos is one of just two afternoon games and, let's be honest, the only one that really matters. These two bitter rivals go way back to the 70s, with the dominance ebbing and flowing.
From 1965 to 1971 the Raiders won every single match-up with the Broncos -- a streak of 14-straight Raider wins. Throughout the 70s, the Broncos took a few wins from the Raiders, but those were the glory years of the Raiders who began their run for three Super Bowl championships.
Of late, it's been all Broncos who have won 7-straight. The Raiders haven't beaten the Broncos since the new regime arrived in 2012. That's also happens to be when Peyton Manning arrived in Denver.
Manning won't be playing in this one, and somehow that's actually a good thing. The Broncos have won three-straight with Brock Osweiler at QB. But really it's all about that Broncos defense. Osweiler just needs to not give the game away. The Raiders will be looking to force him to do just that.
